For Long Day Areas
Long-day onions start the bulbing process when day length reaches 14-16 hours. They do extremely well in Northern states and are excellent for long term storage. The recommended planting time is 4-6 weeks before your last average frost date.
Plants are shipped directly from the grower, depending on your climate zone and transit weather conditions, beginning in January through April or early May.
